Helena Pires de Carvalho, EMA Secretary, witnessed the 670 athletes from the Balkan countries who participated with enthusiasmn, joy and fair play in unusual Autumn warm, sunny days. All athletes entered with a desire to inscribe their names in the history of the traditional Balkan Championships.
Some of them returned home with medals, but the most important winner was the friendship among the participants and viewers.
During the Balkan Championship, on the 23rd of September, the GA of BAMA took place. It was well participated by all representatives of the present Balkan Countries. The Statutes of BAMA were approved by the delegates who represented their Masters affiliates.
On Sunday evening the athlete party took place which happened to be in an enthusiastic atmosphere. Traditional dancers, popular folk music of the Balkan region was on the entertainment agenda. The songs and balades were played by a group of three musicians with an intetion that the athletes could dance and strengthen their relations of friendship among each other.
We will see us at the next Balkan Championship in 2017.
