The highlight of the 5th was the cross in Torremolinos.
The course was excellent for those who are used to run up and down and jump over roots and stones … a real cross. For some it was very hard to run under the hot conditions and we had some accidents but our team leaders network made it possible to assist our athletes very fast.
Just after the event the medal ceremony was presented in the multiple event area next to the stadium.
The atmosphere was great and some emotions could be seen – tears of happiness.
This photo was taken at the ceremony when two athletes from Mexico and the USA were happy to share the spirit of the chamionships: respect, friendship, harmony. Some polititions should learn a lesson during our wonderful championships in Malaga where no borders divide us athletes.
