Korea was an example for the importance of the involvement of the national federation of athletics.
Without the 2800 Koreans we would have missed an audience during the competitions and in the indoor arena.
The LOC of the hosting city did everything possible to present a perfect organisation and hospitality – thank you Daegu!
Next time Torun will invite the Masters Athletics World for the indoor championships to Poland in 2019.
Resumee of Daegu for the European masters: great competitions, great atmoshere and perfect venues.
24 world records could be set up – 10 only by European athletes.
Very successful with three gold medals and a world record in Triple Jump (W50 – 10,79m) – Valentyna Krepkina – Ukraine;
Klemans Grissmer from Germany set two new world records in Long Jump (M65 – 5,38m) and Pentathlon (M65 – 4637 points).
Congatuation to all athletes who could stand on the podium and to all our participants in the events who finished with their expectations for Daegu 2017.
