World Champions Hilary West, Helen Godsell, Jane Horder and Caroline Powell set a W60 world record in 4x400m in 4: 41.85 at the WMAC in Malaga. Godsell, Horder and Powell had already set a 4x200m world record (2: 00.37) in Madrid with Carole Filer.
SPAIN – M40 – 4x400m – Málaga. World Champions Octavio Perez Calatayud, Ramon Borente Gonzalez, Sergio Repiso Gutierrez and Ricardo Menendez Gonzalez improved the European M40 record 4x400m to 3.22.04.
