EMA best masters awards 2018: Category Jumps

    Petra Bajeat and Wolfgang Ritte have already been honored as athletes of the year in their countries. Wolfgang Ritte as German Masters Athlete 2014 and Petra Bajeat as French Masters Athlete 2018. EMA elected Petra as European Best Female Master Athlete 2018.

    Petra Bajeat improved the world records W50 in long jump (indoor) and high jump indoor and outdoor and was twice World Champion at the World Masters Athletic Championships in Malaga.

    Wolfgang Ritte achieved two fantastic M65 world records in the pole vault, both indoors and outdoors. At the WMAC in Malaga he won pole vault, long jump and 100-meter hurdles and became European champion in the pole vault at EMACI in Madrid.

    The versatile athlete Wolfgang Ritte supplemented his gold medal collection in Madrid and Malaga with silver and bronze. He received the silver medal in the 60 m hurdles and the bronze medal as a participant of the German M65 4x100m team..

    Wolfgang Ritte has already achieved world records in the pole vault in different age groups 46 times. In 2018, he improved the European M65 record eleven times and the world record six times, indoor to 3.96 meters and outdoor to 4.05 meters.
