EMA Master Meetings Circuit – Third event: Sheffield (Eng) 13 July 2024

    Located in the heart of South Yorkshire, Sheffield is a city that embodies the essence of British industrial heritage combined with vibrant contemporary culture. Known for its history in the steel industry, Sheffield today also shines for its diverse tourist scene and its impact on the world of sport, particularly athletics.

    Sheffield offers a variety of tourist attractions to suit all tastes. The heart of the city is enriched by historic monuments such as Sheffield Cathedral and Sheffield Castle, which offer an immersion in local history. For nature lovers, the Peak District National Park is just a stone’s throw away, offering an extensive network of walking trails, stunning crags and breathtaking scenery.

    Sheffield has a long tradition in the world of sport, with a particular focus on athletics. The Hallam University track, located just outside the city centre, in the University’s City Athletics Stadium (previously known as Woodbourn Road Stadium) is a recently refurbished venue ideal for hosting sporting events.

    With a 400m athletics track, on-site parking and a central stand offering great views of the action, numerous clubs and companies regularly hire the venue for training, corporate team building events and even family fun days.

    The races will take place here on July 13th with the following program:

    TRACK EVENTS – 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 3000m, 300mh, 400mh
    FIELD EVENTS – Pole Vault, Long Jump, Triple Jump, High Jump, Hammer Throw, Shot Put, Discus Throw, Jevellin Throw
