EMA technical visit EMACS 2019 – Venice, Italy

    In August 2-3, 2016 the EMA Council members, Jerzy Krauze – Vice President and Jean Thomas – Treasury have been on technical visit in Venice metropole in connection with the preparations to organization of the European Masters Athletics Championships Stadia 2019 in the cities of Jesolo, Eraclea and Caorle.     The visit took place on the invitation of Alfio Giomi – President of Italian Athletics Federation (FIDAL) and the Mayors of the cities: Jesolo – Valerio Zoggia, Eraclea – Grazzia Teso and Caorle – Luciano Striuli. This cities are situated in Adriatic See lagoon shore and belonging to the one of the most popular tourists destinations in Europe.
    Over two days were checked technical condition in the 4 stadiums and other sports facilities, which will be organized athletics competitions. The Local Organizing Committee foresee that in EMACS, which was planned on September 5-15, 2019 will participate about 7000 athletes and also during the whole period will arrive approximately 20 thousand tourists.

    The organizing committee is in the process of formal registration and in accordance with arrangements, before the end of this year will sign contract with the EMA.

    Cites authorities and FIDAL comes with great care to this event, because at that time will be organized of the Mediterranean Championship U-23, and two weeks later EMACS 2019.
