Final 10 Days to Register for Râșnov 2026
The Council of European Masters Athletics (EMA) has officially decided to update the name of its flagship off-road event. Starting in 2027, the event currently known as EMORRC will officially become the EMMTRC—the European Masters Mountain and Trail Running Championships.
This change is part of the gradual elimination, also by European Athletics (EA), of the term and acronym “Off-Road Running” in favor of a terminology that better reflects the specific disciplines of mountain running and trail running.
Old Name: European Masters Off-Road Running Championships (EMORRC)
New Name: European Masters Mountain and Trail Running Championships (EMMTRC)
Effective Date: Starting from the 2027 edition in Ojòs (Spain)
While the title will change in 2027 to align seamlessly with European Athletics standards, our commitment to delivering world-class mountain and trail competitions for masters athletes remains unchanged.

Before we enter the new EMMTRC era, the 2026 edition under the EMORRC title takes place in the picturesque Carpathian Mountains of Râșnov, Romania, from September 10–13, 2026.
