We don’t stop playing because
that we are getting older;
we will grow old
because we stop playing –

Masters championships by country are roughly divided into two pages – one is the kind of competitions where all athletes can participate on an equal basis, and the other is a large part of those countries that still keep these competitions closed as only their own masters competitions. My clear and strong support belongs to these competitions open to all, that is why in 2025 we took it upon ourselves to participate as much as possible in those places where we are expected and have not competed before. 2. February in Scotland – Glasgow, 4J Studios Masters Championships & Relay Finals , 22.- 23. February in United Kingdom – London, British Masters Indoor Championship and finally 8. March in Ireland, 123.ie National Indoor Masters – Athlone.
Take part in this three competitions in 40 days, what more could you want! We draw good emotions from these competitions for the whole long season.
Our first acquaintance with Scotland was very pleasant. To begin with, the indoor track and field oval with the best, freshest and also fastest surface in Glasgow and Great Britain at all. Nice meetings with old and new friends. A short tour of the city both on foot and by bus – approx. 100 km in four days. We still do together, we enjoy together, it doesn’t matter who is the best today.
It is as if the goal is that everyone wins – spectators, contestants, relationships and emotions.
I have a good and perfect companion in every way. We do the same things together, and that’s how these competitions come about through the rib track. The most pleasant moment of this competition was that both young and young para-athletes competed together throughout the long day, and at the end of the day, athletes who gained fame at the Para-Olympics. I really hope that in the near future the Estonian masters championships will also become open competitions for all those who wish, and that we will see competing not only at the age of 35+. In Glasgow relays were run, e.g. U14 and older, and it was great to watch the fireworks from the stands. And the stands were by no means empty. Rather full. The air is full of positive emotions and there was a loud cheer for all the athletes. There were no relatives or strangers, but we were all one friendly family.
