Further sporting successes and honours
In addition to her two world records in the long jump and high jump at the European Indoor Championships in Madrid Pétra Bajeat (W50) distinguished herself by winning 60m hurdles (9.68).
The High jump world record she broke during the French Championships 2018 of Combined Events in Saint Florentin, finishing the heptathlon, with 4596 points (ER). Already in Mai, Pétra improved the European record in the long jump in Nantes to 5.40 m.
Fédération Française d’Athlétisme (FFA) chose Pétra Bajeat as Masters Athlete of the Year 2018 for the following reason:
„Petra Bajeat‘s 2018 season was marked by fabulous titles and records. She participated in championships in Nantes, Madrid, Angers, Saint Florentin and Malaga and achieved national, European and World titles, 8 French records,. . . “
