Despite facing logistical and financial challenges, the European Masters movement was strongly represented at the World Masters Indoor Championships in Gainesville 2025. This event was professionally organized and executed by World Masters Athletics (WMA), the Gainesville 2025 Local Organizing Committee (LOC), and Alachua County.
World Masters Athletics achieved a significant milestone by successfully hosting the first-ever indoor championship in North America, while also providing an opportunity for increased global participation, with athletes from 100 countries represented.
A special thanks to Filippo Fasolato and the EMA Statistics Team for compiling the list of new world champions. On a blue background, you’ll find the golden medalists and world champion European athletes highlighted.
The EMA Council, represented in Gainesville by VP of Competition Giovanni Tracanelli (also involved in the WMA non-stadia competition team) and VP of Finances Ercan Ozkan (who also participated as both an athlete and team leader), would like to express their gratitude to all European masters for their passion and dedication to our sport.
Now, our attention shifts to the exciting upcoming events for the year: the EMORRC in Sicily, the EMAMRC in Jyväskylä, the EMA Track and Field and Off-Road Circuits, and, of course, the Stadia Championships in Madeira this October.
