Jacques Serruys Jacques was the fourth President of the EVAA after Cesare Beccalli (†), Dr. H.c. Hans Axmann (†) and Torsten Carlius (†). He was succeeded by Dieter Massin and Kurt Kaschke. [# Presidents]

In Alicante/ESP (18-20 MAY 2018), right now, the XVI EUROPEAN MASTERS ATHLETICS CHAMPIONSHIPS NON-STADIA (EMACNS) took place, with 1275 competitors giving proof of a satisfactory development. Funchal/Madeira will be the host of the next EMACNS.
According to tradition, in Alicante competitions were held in Road Walk (10km, 20km/W, 30km /M)), 10km road race (533 finishers) and Half Marathon (425 finishers). There were also team rankings. For the first time Cross Relay races were announced (M35-M50: 3x4km, W35-W70, M55-M80: 3x2km).
European Masters Athletics Championships Marathon (EMACM)
EMA Marathon 2017 (September 10) was included in the Wroclaw Marathon (Poland) with a total of almost 10,000 participants. There were 341 registrations from 12 nations for the EMACM.
European Masters Mountain Running Champonships (EMMRC)
Unterharmersbach / GER was the first host of the EMMRC on April 30, 2006, when Dieter Massin was EVAA President. 468 runners from 20 countries took part in the mountain race. The 8th EMMRC will take place in March 2020 in Porto Moniz, Madeira (Portugal).
For the first time the European Masters Trail Running Championships are announced by EMA. They take place together with EMMRC and start on March 29th in Vila do Poto Moniz.
