Competing at the BMC/Glasgow AA Metric Miler meeting on January 7th Fiona Matheson (GBR, Falkirk) improved her own W55 World Best for 3000m to 10.18.87. Place oft he world record: Scottish Masters 3000m Indoor Championships in Glasgow
Wolfgang Ritte improved the M65 pole vault World Record
On January 7th the German Wolfgang Ritte, celebrating his 65th birthday, set a new M65 pole vault european record (3,70 m). Nearly two weeks later he improved in Potsdam (GER) the M65 pole vault world record to 3.95 m. Ritte increased the previous record of the American John Altendorf (3.86 in Reno, 2013)
