The Irish National Indoor Championships were held in Athlone IT stadium on Sunday 10th March where athletes descended from all corners of the island. These championships are a final run out for the athletes who go forward to the World Master Championships in Torun, Poland at the end of the month.
We had athletes competing from 35 up to 85 age group. There were many magnificent performances on the day with many National records and PB’s broken. Athletes travelling to Torun who broke national records include:

Pauline Moran Mayo AC W60 800m 2.43.38 NR & 1500 5.42.50 NR
Sinead McConnell, Finn Valley 3k walk W50 15.54.35 NR
Mary Barrett Loughrea AC W60 High jump 1.15m & long Jump 3.21 & shot putt 10.56 & weight for distance 4.77 all NR

Ger Cremin, M40, An Rioch 60m Hurdles 9.14 NR
Aiden Gillespie M45 Rosses AC 60m Hurdles 9.09 NR
