The EMA Council, in order to prevent misunderstandings and complaints arising from incorrect or outdated information regarding timetables and technical details of EMA Championships and events—such as those that appeared on several unofficial social media groups during the Madeira 2025 EMACS—hereby declares:
- The only official and updated information regarding timetables, technical details, and event updates is published on the EMA official website, the event’s official website, and the official EMA Facebook page: “EMA – European Masters Athletics.”
- Any information published on other sources should not be taken into consideration and is not the responsibility of the EMA.
- The same applies to live streaming: if a live stream is not confirmed by the EMA and the Local Organising Committee (LOC) through the official channels listed above, it must be considered false or potentially fraudulent.
- Athletes and members are kindly requested to regularly check the official sources to stay informed about possible minor modifications or updates to previously published provisional information.
We trust that, by working together and relying only on official information, we can continue to enjoy outstanding events and share exceptional experiences.
