European Masters Athletics (EMA) is delighted to announce that the town of Ojós, located in the beautiful region of Murcia, Spain, has been officially selected to host the 2027 European Masters Off-Road Running Championships (EMORRC).
The successful bid is a collaborative achievement, brought to life through the close partnership of the local municipality of Ojós, the Murcia Athletics Federation (FAMU), the Local Organising Committee and the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation (RFEA). Together, they presented a compelling vision that promises to deliver a great competitive experience for Europe’s master trail and mountain runners.
Ojós offers an exceptional backdrop for off-road running, combining challenging, technical terrain with the stunning natural landscapes and rich cultural heritage of the Ricote Valley. Competitors can look forward to spectacular courses, local support, and Spain’s renowned sporting hospitality.
The provisional date of the championship is 15-18 April 2027. Further details regarding the event schedule and athlete registration guidelines will be shared on the EMA website and channels as planning progresses.
