On 27 October the AARAM (Athletics Association of the Autonomous Region of Madeira) provided information about European Masters Athletics Championships Non-Stadia (EMACNS 2020), which will take place in Funchal from 29 to 31 October. The venues are Avenida do Mar in Funchal, the Parque Ecológico Estrada Monumental. More than 600 participants from 26 countries are expected.
Funchal City Councillor Madalena Nunes expressed her pleasure and pride that Funchal will remain the stage for international events. The City Councillor also pledged the support of the City of Funchal in the future for events that promote sport for all and health through sport.
