The first half of September 2026 delivered an incredible showcase of competitive spirit, stamina, and friendship across European Masters Athletics. From fast track and field circuits in the EMA League to rugged endurance tests at the European Masters Off-Road Running Championships (EMORRC), masters athletes from across the continent demonstrated outstanding performances.
Here is a recap of the headline events that closed out our late-summer season.
EMA League 2026: Late-Season Stages Heat Up
The 2026 edition of the EMA League continued its mission to offer high-level track and field competition for athletes aged 35+. Early September saw crucial late-season stages, including the stage in Liepāja (Latvia) on September 5, the Ąžuolas Cup in Klaipėda (Lithuania) on September 12–13 and, on the same weekend, the City of Bellinzona Meeting, to conclude the Circuit with a great attendance.
Final rankings and Fidelity awards list will be soon available. The results of these last EMA League stages are available at https://european-masters-

EMORRC 2026: Mountain & Trail Excellence in Râșnov
From September 10 to 13, 2026, the historical town of Râșnov, Romania, hosted the European Masters Off-Road Running Championships (EMORRC). Set against the dramatic backdrop of Transylvania and the Bucegi Mountains, athletes tackled three demanding courses:
- Vertical Race (3.7 km, +800 m

- Trail Long Distance (40 km, +2,000 m
The atmosphere in Unirii Square in Râșnov was electric, hosting medal ceremonies, cultural performances, and post-race celebrations that brought national teams together.
