The stunning ski resort of Stâna de Vale (România) hosted the Romanian National Championship and, simultaneously, the thrilling final stage of the EMA Off Road Running 2026 circuit. The event featured a packed, high-energy program that included a demanding vertical race alongside two challenging up & down competitions of 11 km and 33 km.
The Masters athletes performed exceptionally well, consistently capturing the top steps of the podium. A huge congratulations to our champions:
· Stefan Macarie (M50) – Gold in both the Vertical and Long races
· Nicoleta Sasu (W40) – Gold in the Vertical race
· Anca Maria (W35) – Gold in the 11K race
· Nicoleta Ciortan (W45) – Gold in the 33K race
The best foreign athlete was once again Sebastien Doumenc (Team Leader of France and our trusted on-the-ground “reporter”). Sebastien took home a brilliant silver in the 11K and a bronze in the Vertical race in his age category (M50).
In his capacity as Team Manager, Sebastien extended a great thank you to the Event Organizer (and fantastic athlete himself), Marcel Laza, on behalf of all the athletes. The event was top-notch, perfectly balancing technical excellence with a vibrant atmosphere, complete with a pasta party, live music, and unforgettable camaraderie.
With the 2026 circuit officially wrapped up, it’s time to look to the future. EMA strongly believes in this project and is officially inviting race organizers to submit their applications for the 2027 edition of the Circuit.
