 | A short but impressive open ceremony in the fun park of Aarhus enjoyed the athletes and spectators. Around 600 athletes representing all participating countries joined the invitation to march in. They were accompanied by Aarhus’ Marching Band with motivating tunes. |
Short speeches of Aarhus deputy Mayors Rabin Azad-Ahmad, Henning Anderson – Chairman of EMACS2017 – and EMA President Kurt Kaschke had two intermezzo. A young dynamic band motivated some Portuguese Athletes to start to dance and The Flying Men gave an impression of acrobatics and gymnastics.
The ceremony finished with the Championship Oath, represented by the Danish Athlete Jette Jeppsen and the French 800m runner Christoph Chevaux.
