Eva Trost improved two world records in two consecutive days at a running meeting in Neustadt GER) from 3 to 4 August: „Now I can finally say: done!”
In the 800m Eva Trost set a W55 world record clocking 2:12.49 minutes. She beat theone-year-old listed WR (2:13.05) of Dutch Nicole Weijling-Dissel. Eve’s stations to the world record this year: 2:16,89 – 2:14,64 – 2:13,57 – 2:12,49
In the 1500m, Eva bettered the listed world record 4:36.79 of Clare Elms, GBR from 2014 by almost exactly one second .
Let’s look forward to the meeting in the 800m and the 1500m final of Eva Trost and Nicole Weijling-Dissel at the World Masters Championships in Malaga.
Norbert Demmel (M55) now holds the world records in M50 and M55.
At the German Masters-Championships 2018 in the Throwing Pentathlon in Zella-Mehlis (GER) , on 5.8.2018 Norbert Demmel improved the world record of South African Burton Haupt by 138 points and raised the European record (4777 points) of the Norwegian Arild Busterud from 2003 in his age groupe M55 to 4938 points. Norbert Demmel can meet the 15 years older former European record holder Arild Busterud at the World Championships in Malaga. Arild (*26.1.1948) will participate in the throwing pentathlon in the age group M70.
