The 15th European Masters Athletics Championships Indoor (EMACI) officially commenced on March, 27, with a vibrant Opening Ceremony at the Arena Toruń, marking the start of a week dedicated to athletic excellence and international camaraderie.
The ceremony showcased the immense scale of this year’s championships, as 3,500 athletes from 52 countries marched into the arena. From the smallest delegations to the largest, the parade of nations served as a powerful reminder of the unity within the European athletics community (and beyond).
While the next six days will see fierce competition for podium spots and records, the opening remarks emphasized the core pillars of the Masters movement:
