Wieslaw Musial (M60, POL) started with a triple jump of 11.63 (+4.6). He was very surprised. Almost one meter further than he had expected.”God thank the strong tailwind”, he was pleased.
Michael Pagels (M60, GER) startet with (11.57 + 1.4). But the wind made for justice. +4,3 in the fifth attempt: 11.82, European Champion. “A hard piece of work”, Michael commented. What’s special about Michael’s performance is that he’s basically a weightlifter and, two months ago, has become European Champion in his age category in weightlifting in Finland.
