Two World Records in One Race

    Jaume Ferret, Member of statistician EMA group, reported that athlete José Vicente Rioseco (M80) set a new world record in the 5000m with a time of 20:20.01 min in Pontevedra in northwest Spain. The old record holder is Canada’s EDWARD WHITLOCK, who clocked a time of 20:58.12 in Toronto in 2011. During the 5000m race, the 3000m time was recorded. It was 11:56.25 minutes and meant a new 3000m world record in the M80 category.
