Ivan Pukšar, the new President of Croatian Masters Athletics Association

    After the election in February, Croatia has a new President of its Association.

    The elected President: Ivan Pukšar, former long-time general secretary of Croatian Masters Athletics Association. He replaced Željko Vrbanc who had been President since 2012. 

    Ivan Pukšar is well known in the region of Balkan as a very active member of  BAMA – Balkan Masters Athletics Association. He was Vice-President  of BAMA between 2012 – 2014. At the moment he is also a member of BAMA statistician chapter and Balkan Indoor Manager for regional indoor events.

    Ivan Pukšar is still active as a master athlete, Croatian champion in 100m, 200 m and long jump and four times Balkan Champion in 100 m. Participant on many international championships. The most significant project in his master athletics  professional career was the organisation of Balkan Championship in Zagreb 2013. 

    His main goal is the development of Croatian masters athletics, especially in younger categories, in middle and long distances running, as well as the development of Croatian female masters athletics.
