Ukraine’s Oleg Fedorko (M60) was recognised as the best jumper, while in combined events the winner was Rosa Escribano (W55) of Spain. The Awards Ceremony for the First Places will take place at the next WMA Championships in Malaga, Spain, in September.
Also runners-up have been nominated this year. For Europe, Briton Angela Copson – already Best European Master 2017 – took the prestigious second place for the overall standings and also in event groups race walker Normunds Ivzans (M45) of Latvia. Two USA masters athletes, W65 middle-distance runner Kathy Martin and M80 sprinter Bob Lida, are the overall WMA Best Masters Athletes for 2017. EMA congratulates the athletes on their achievements.
Only the OVERALL WINNERS will be awarded at WMA Championships.
