WMAC 10km Road Race ended with a stadium lap

    The runners liked the flat course in the 10km road race.They especially enjoyed the big applause at the finish in Ciudad de Malaga Stadium.

    Father and son successful

    Happy and proud, the father accompanied his 50-year-old son Miguel Molero-Eichwein from Germany to the award ceremony. Miguel became World Champion in the age group M50 in the very good time 32:36. His father Jose Molero-Membrilla took 8th place in M75. Both had already taken part in the cross-country race with great success. Miguel won the race here and, like his father, became world champion in the team.

    Kenyan celebrated cheerfully

    The fastest times were for Kenyan women and men. In M40, Samuel Ndereba (KENYA) won in 30:43. Kenya’s Innes Chenonge (W35) crossed the finish line as the fastest woman after 33:40 minutes. Singing and dancing, the team from Kenya celebrated in the catacombs of the stadium and many Europeans joined.
