| More than 5000 marathon runners built a marvelous picture of an event that is every year the highlight of athletics in marathon. For the second time (after 1988) Wroclaw offered the runners from 23 different European countries – and in the open category runners from other countries as well – a best organised course with a spectacular view of the old city. |  |
The weather conditions were excellent so many participants could finish their age groups.
At the end 338 competitors made it and were honoured with a trophy and a the winners with a big cup. The results gave all viewers an expression of the high standard of Masters Runners.
In 2018 Wroclaw likes to invite the European Masters again to take part again – good idea.
